Only life annuities can give you a guaranteed life income. In response to your question about an investor with a low threshold of pain, the answer was obviously yes, not a bond that changes value or a GIC that pays zip interest which is fully taxable!
And when are interest rates ” going back to normal ” as he says? Obama is keeping rates low until 2014 so Canada has very little room to move! By the time he gets to buy the annuity, that man’s executors are in charge.
Advisers like that are dangerous to the public’s financial health!
